In business careers, there are few things more important than having a mentor. When I started at Praxair, my immediate supervisor was incredibly supportive and a source of great guidance for me. It meant a lot in terms of my understanding the business and pushing myself to get to the next level.

Today, while my responsibilities include managing existing customers in my territory and developing new customer relationships, I try and be a source of support and guidance for others as my mentor was for me. I believe that building that kind of environment is key ensuring the growth and profitability of our enterprise.

When you have happy and committed colleagues you have happy customers. And when you have happy customers you have a great business. We have a great business.
